About the Company
Solar Source is committed to using only proven, reliable components that are suitable for our climate resulting in long lasting, efficient solar energy systems.  John Kondos, founder of Solar Source & Home-Efficiency Resources, LLC of Spofford, NH began his career in the solar energy industry in the 1970’s with the goal of reducing our dependence on finite fossil fuels. He joined a start up solar contracting firm near his home town with a focus on domestic water and pool heating systems for residential and commercial customers. He went on to work for PV manufacturers Solar Power Corp and Sovonics. He has installed PV systems on three continents and solar water heaters in MA, NH and VT. Our office and workshop are located next to our home in Chesterfield, NH where the 1996 solar domestic water heating system and the 2007 grid-tie PV system are available for demonstration along with a variety of PV modules from the 1980’s.

Water Heating:  Solar domestic hot water (SDHW) systems rely on the most efficient designs to provide the most cost effective, reliable systems for our customers. Our systems typically provide from 50-75% of your annual hot water needs.

Electricity:  Solar electric generator systems use state of the art photovoltaic PV modules and electronics for maximum efficiency and long life. Systems are designed to meet your needs from a utility connected system, where you send excess energy back to the grid when production exceeds your needs to independent systems for out buildings or homes located beyond the grid.

Space Heating:  These simple, reliable units are designed to reduce your heating costs. Integrated modular units, approximately the size of a door, are directly vented to the room and automatically circulate heated air into the room when the sun is shining.
